We have some tests we usually run after an update that we run through. But things should be good to go soon.
Scheduled Maintenance
We’re in the midst of updating the plugins and behind the scenes items for our main site. There should be minimal downtime. Anything out of the ordinary that happens during this process will be posted here.
DNS move update
We’ve flipped the switches and have our domains served from the new DNS provider. However, things like this do take a bit of time to propagate so if you see glitches give it an hour or so and it should work.
Switching DNS providers…
In order to help improve our site load speeds and improve reliability, we are in the process of switching our DNS providers. Downtime should be minimal, but if you notice any problems with any sites, that’s why.
translate.eventespresso.com is up
Those of you who help translate the EE family of plugins into other languages would have noticed that our glotpress installation wasn’t working correctly. That’s been fixed and you should now be able to access the glotpress install just fine at translate.eventespresso.com
Server and Hosting Migration Complete
EventEspresso.com has been successfully migrated to a new hosting platform which is delivering faster page loading speeds, more reliable up-time and one-click upgrades. Feel free to take a click around and see what you think.
We will perform minor optimizations in the coming days but if you experience any unexpected behavior please contact us.
New Site is up, but…
We’re still testing the bits and pieces. You’ll want to hold off purchasing anything until we’ve confirmed things work as expected. We’ll post when everything is good to go.
We’re Secure and Running Fast
We’ve moved our SSL certificate to the new server configuration to keep everyone safe.
We’re about ready to go live.
Migration Drink of the Minute is…
I’ve got a nice mug of butterscotch java accompanying me while the migration is brewing. We’re getting the db and uploads folder transferred over now (everything else is deployed via git).
Migration from Hostgator to Firehost Underway
We are now in the process of migrating EventEspresso.com from Hostgator to Firehost. Our thorough testing of a staging site went very well. The new hosting and server configuration to about 30% faster than before AND we found a few ways to improve one-click updates for the Event Espresso suite of products.
We’re really excited!
Stay tuned.
